KBF Committee with Aubrey Matshiqi

The Gujarati Hindu Sanskriti Kendra serves various aspects of life for the broader Indian community in Durban. These include religious and cultural projects, education, social responsibility projects and the retirement home. Servicing a community which boasts such a rich business heritage, the idea of the KBF was brainstormed in 2011. It aims to support the community in facing the changing economic and political landscape by facilitating the sharing of skills and expertise in different constituencies. Within the Kendra Business Forum are subcommittees with varying focus groups, namely: MEMBERSHIP; EDUCATION; FINANCE; ADMINISTRATION; EMPOWERMENT COMMUNITY; EMPOWERMENT YOUTH; EMPOWERMENT WOMEN.

The committee is a collection of successful professionals that span various areas of industry and service in the city. With a focus on sustainability and education, its aim is to expose members to engaging, impactful speakers, and to develop strong economies within our community by connecting as a united forum.
