THE FAIR In addition, to the normal support of the community who donate funds, the committee has, for the past 20 years organised the Eastern Bridal Fair from 2000 to 2019. This event is the largest fundraising event of the Kendra. The fair draws about 10,000 patrons over one week-end, each year and is supported by about 100 exhibitors. A special full colour 120 page magazine is printed and handed out free of charge at the fair. There are about 100 advertisers in the magazine that also includes interesting articles on fashion, weddings, health and beauty. The current sponsor is STERNS. It is only at The Eastern Bridal Fair & Lifestyle Expo of this calibre that you can preview a wide selection of various Exhibitors from popular stores from across South Africa and India, Catering for Weddings, Household Requites and also your needs for your General Health and Well-being. THE FASHION SHOW The Exclusive Fashion Show and dance Extravaganza will be performed three times daily. The Fashion sequence showcases Colourful Sarees, Lehengas, Exclusive Sherwanis, Tuxedos and Suits for the Bridal Couple. The Fashion Garments are interwoven with Amazing Song and Dance Sequences by Popular Performing Artists. The one hour long, high-quality fashion show / dance extravaganza is rehearsed for weeks and performed nine times over the bridal fair week-end, for patrons at no extra charge. The fair invites top designers from India and Pakistan to display their latest fashions. The shows are choreographed by top dance choreographers from India as well as from South Africa. The shows have also included popular TV stars / singers from India. The whole show is put together by volunteers and none of the participants/volunteers are paid for their services. The models and dancers receive gifts and a certificate for participating in the show. THE MAGAZINE The Eastern Bride is a perfect guide for a perfect wedding. It is printed on Beautifully Illustrated High Gloss Pages and it advertises all your Products and Services.
