The Kendra Cultural Committee is responsible for all religious, cultural, educational and social responsibility programs of Kendra, since its formation in 1993.

The first event organised by this committee in 1994 was the Diwali Banquet at the Durban City Hall with the participation of Ashit and Hema Desai from India. This event was attended by 1,500 members of the community.

The Cultural Committee comprises of a dynamic team of 60 members that presents in excess of 40 events each year. The committee has organised over 1,000 events since its inception.
